Melrose Hotel

We had an unintentional night stop in Amsterdam due to weather/snow closure at Schipol airport. Even though it was very late around 23.30 when we booked the Melrose hotel, it wasn't a problem as they're open 24/7. On arrival at the hotel, the friendly manager quickly sorted out the rooms for us. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very quiet. We had a good nights sleep, ready for our onward travel the next morning.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Dam Square, with a pleasant route passing by numerous shops and eateries along the way.

So central,15 mins walk or less to most attractions. Rooms are small but all you need really and clean ,modern and freshly decorated. Rooms cleaned each day and fresh towels. Shower gel and hand soap provided, as well as coffee / tea making facilities . Hot drinks machine at reception. We met the nicest people on reception . Thankyou Mustapha,Chevy and another lovely man whose name I cannot remember They were so friendly and happy to help and helped us lots when passports were left behind on last day .

Everything, was an absolutely perfect stay and the staff were incredible. Could not recommend it any higher

Room was lovely and clean and staff tidied the room and brought clean towels daily Location was good about a 20 minute walk from central and a nice walk too Would recommend more for couples as it’s a frosted shower glass In the middle of room Lovely area, restaurants and pubs nearby but out of the way of the business of the centre Can only use a keycard to enter hotel after a certain time which made it feel a lot safer Would definitely recommend this hotel.
